Washougal MX Park for Round 8 of AMA Pro Motocross

The Pacific Northwest brought another tough day of racing at Washougal MX Park for Round 8 of AMA Pro Motocross.

Jorge Prado put together the strongest 450MX result of the group, charging to a 3rd-place finish in Moto 1 before backing it up with a strong 4th in Moto 2 after a first-lap tip-over for 4th overall. Prado had the pace to run with the front of the 450 field all afternoon.

Julien Beaumer had to work for his 6th overall in the 250 Pro Class. After getting caught up in a second-turn crash in Moto 1 and being forced to charge back from deep in the field, Julien fought his way to 8th. He came back in Moto 2 with a 5th-place finish, salvaging valuable points and keeping himself 3rd in the championship standings heading into the break.

or Eli Tomac, Washougal was another day focused on getting race time under his belt. The four-time 450MX champion went 14-14 for 14th overall, putting together two tough motos but making it through the weekend healthy as he continues building back his outdoor race fitness.

Three riders, three different battles, and another round in the books. Now it’s time to reset and get ready for the final stretch of the Pro Motocross season.
